New Date Arranged For U21s' Cup Tie With Derby County

26 November 2014

Doncaster Rovers postponed fixture against Derby County in the Final Third Cup has been rearranged.

A new date has been set for Doncaster Rovers Under 21s’ Final Third Development League Cup tie against Derby County.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday 12th November at Alfreton Town, but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. It will now take place at the Derby County Training Centre on Wednesday 11th February 2015, kick-off 1pm.

Rovers Under 21 Development side, managed by club captain Rob Jones, have recently gone top of the Final Third Development (East) with a 2-1 win over rivals Rotherham United.

Rovers are in Group B of the Northern Section alongside Derby County, Rotherham United, Huddersfield Town and Mansfield Town.

Competition rules state that teams must play two of their matches at home and a further two away, and the group winners will qualify for the Semi Finals.
