What The Papers Say

15 September 2014

A variety of angles from Saturday's game across the media spectrum.

Doncaster Free Press - The Scot (Dickov) will be scratching his head somewhat this morning. Back to work. Back to the drawing board.
That was the overwhelming feeling after Rovers were put firmly in their place by City’s slickers.
Things might have been very different had another contentious penalty decision not gone against Rovers yet again. It feels like a weekly occurrence.
When Forrester went flying in the box, earning the first of his two yellow cards for apparently diving, it was still goalless and Rovers were showing one or two signs of settling into their passing game.
But from that point on, the afternoon went downhill rapidly.

Sportal (New Zealand) - Bristol City replaced Peterborough United at the top of League One by easing to a 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Steve Cotterill's side dominated from the outset at Ashton Gate and it did not take long for Aaron Wilbraham put them ahead with his fifth goal of the season.
Right-back Mark Little made it 2-0 from close range and Rovers had Harry Forrester sent off before Kieran Agard opened his account for City with a late piledriver.

Yorskhire Post - Harry Forrester was red carded as Doncaster Rovers flopped to a 3-0 defeat at Bristol City in League One.
Bristol City powered to the top of the League One table with their victory.
Aaron Wilbraham, Mark Little and former Rotherham striker Kieran Agard were on target for the Robins at Ashton Gate as they claimed a third-straight success and remained unbeaten this term, while Rovers had Forrester sent off.

Western Daily Press - Mark Little described his first goal in Bristol City colours as "totally bizarre" after opening his account against Doncaster Rovers at the weekend.
Signed from Peterborough during the close season, Little registered his first goal in his seventh appearance to put the Robins two goals ahead 15 minutes before half-time.
But the 25-year-old right wing-back will probably never score a stranger goal after running from the edge of the penalty area to challenge dithering defender Cedric Evina and bundle the ball in from point-blank range.

And here's how doncasterroversfc.co.uk reported it.
