Ben Bottomley steps up from our U18s where he made two appearances in the FA Youth Cup, saving a penalty against Hull City in the second round. He was in the matchday squad for eight games last season, including the final five. After being offered his first professional deal at the beginning of June, Ben has put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract. The young goalkeeper first joined the Academy at U16s and had made his mark with his excellent work-rate. He signed on apprenticeship terms in August 2019 before moving up to the first-team last season. |
